Nanoparticle measurement device

The nanoCET system is an easy-to-use system that can be operated by any person with basic laboratory skills and minimum training.

The nanoCET is a tabletop device that can simultaneously measure diffusion coefficient and scattering intensity of single nanoparticles. The device contains a laser, sophisticated optics and cameras, integrated in a compact assembly.

The system is stable and robust and can be used on a standard lab bench or desktop with no need for a special optical table.

The nanoCET is operated from a computer without special requirements. Specialized software acquires and analyses the data.

Dispertech is currently developing nanoCETv2, integrating fluorescent detection to the capabilities. The this nanoCETv2 is scheduled for market introduction at the end of 2021.


FIBER CARTRIDGE

Easy handling of the fiber

The fiber cartridge is a single-use product that enables easy handling of the delicate fiber. The cartridge is comprised of a disposable plastic carrier with a pre-mounted optical fiber.

THE NANOCET IS EASY TO USE AND CAN BE OPERATED BY ANY PERSON WITH BASIC MICROSCOPY SKILLS.

The user is guided by the software with clear step-by-step instructions.

Using the system

The nanoCET is easy to use and can be operated by any person with basic microscopy skills. The user is guided by the software with clear step-by-step instructions.

A full measurement cycle is comprised of 4 steps:

  1. Placement of the cartridge
    Open the lid of the nanoCET device and place the cartridge on the cartridge holder. The position of the fiber is fixated by lowering a special fiber clamp. A drop of immersion oil is put on top of the fiber to match the refractive index of the fiber with the glass substrate of the holder.
  2. Automatic system alignment
    After closing the lid, an image of the fiber is shown on the computer screen. The user focuses the microscope by turning the knob on the right-hand side of the device. After focusing, the user instructs the software to starts the automatic alignment procedure which takes less than a minute.
  3. Sample placement
    After completion of the calibration, the lid is opened and a droplet of the sample is deposited on the sample spot on the fiber cartridge.
  4. Measurement
    After closing the lid, the measurement and data collection starts automatically. This typically takes a several minutes. After the completion of the measurements the data is processed and the results are generated and stored for further analysis.

A new measurement cycle is started by replacing the cartridge with a new one.
